- Profile information: You may optionally provide a bio and interests, which are stored in your user profile.
- Meetup information: If you host a meetup, we collect the event title, description, location, date, time, capacity, and category. If you attend a meetup, we record your attendance status.
- Waitlist information: If you join the AI Tools waitlist, we collect your email address and optionally your name and area of interest.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics data: We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, referral sources, browser type, general geographic region, and page performance metrics. This data does not personally identify you.
- Cookies and session data: We use essential cookies to manage your authentication session. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be opted out of while using authenticated features.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google OAuth: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google account. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.

- Create and manage your account
- Enable you to browse, host, and attend meetups
- Display your name to other community members in the context of meetups you host or attend
- Send you relevant communications about the Service (e.g., meetup approvals, community updates)

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Community visibility: Your name may be visible to other members in connection with meetups you host or attend. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and data storage
- Vercel — website hosting, anonymous analytics, and performance monitoring
- Google — OAuth authentication (only if you choose Google sign-in)
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
5. Third-Party Embeds
Our website embeds content from Substack for our community newsletter. When this content loads, Substack may collect data according to their own privacy policy. Subscribing to the newsletter is governed by Substack's terms and privacy practices.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies that restrict access to authorized users only. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow security best practices.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or operational purposes (e.g., meetup records where you were the host).
Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or the waitlist is no longer needed.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and associated personal data
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time
